The Supreme Court of the UK gave the most important Judgement in the last 30 years on a medical negligence case. The judgement established the obligation of every doctor to obtain INFORMED CONSENT from the patient on any suggested line of treatment and the alternatives to it. In the judgements the Lords stated:

“…an adult of sound mind is entitled to decide which, if any, of the available treatments to undergo, and her consent must be obtained before treatment interfering with her bodily integrity is undertaken. The doctor is under a duty to take reasonable care to ensure that the patient is aware of any material risks involved in proposed treatment, and of reasonable alternatives.”

Mental Health professionals have failed to determine the cause of any of the mental illnesses they claim exist or how their suggested treatments (Psychiatric Drugs, involuntary commitment, brain surgery, electro shock or any other brutal practice like these) are of any benefit for the patient in front of them.

If you have suffered the negative consequences of any treatment applied by a Mental Health Professional you can report it as abuse if they have failed in their duty to give you all the information about the so-called treatment.
